A very healthy link.

Because laughter is good for your health, and this made me laugh for a good solid five minutes or so. I don't know how I managed to overlook it so far - it's by cosmonusa of sf-community fame, and I know he posted a couple of those in the Doctor Who thread there, but I had no ideas he had continued with his mad scheme!

Dark Doctor - the comic:

Okay... because everyone seems to be doing it:

Top Ten(?) signs you're reading fanfic by Hmpf:

1.) Atmosphere trumps plot/action.

2.) Dark, bleak, angsty, but possibly there's a shimmer of hope at the end. Sometimes.

3.) The protagonist is decidedly not a normal human being and the root of their problems is decidedly not within the range of normal human experience.

4.) Very rarely more than one protagonist. If there is more than one, the story is probably a series of vignettes, one for each character, instead of showing any kind of interaction between them. (Exceptions do exist.)

5.) It's All About the Introspection, Baby!

6.) Actually, it's all about the description. *And* the introspection.

7.) Lyricism occasionally veering into purple prose.

8.) If there are several characters interacting, there is a lot of not understanding going on.

9.) Style and formatting may be a bit experimental.

10.) Dialogue may need work.

Well. I think that's pretty much it.
