I am so glad...

I'm usually studying in Germany. The university system here in Britain is without doubt more efficient - but I don't think I could stand having exams every frelling year! It's like doing A-levels again and again and again!

German students... be grateful.

Having just (nearly) finished my first semester of a postgraduate program in New Zealand, I have to say that the German studies (and especially the exams) were harder. Here it's a lot of work to do too but at least there is more guideance and you know at bit more about what to expect in the exams. In the last three semesters of my (undergraduate) studies I had hardly time for anything else but my studies.

Unless you're studying mathematics, computer science or physics, where several exams per semester are quite usual, plus LOTS of homework each week.

Yeah - try multiple exams in a year. ;)
Good luck with your studying. I'm sure you'll do fine!
