I should check the date more often (missed another birthday):

Happy (belated) birthday, [livejournal.com profile] dunkle_feuer!

This would have been a good opportunity to send you all the stuff I've collected for you...

Then again, I'd much prefer to give it to you in person. Say, ever thought about visiting Ffm? I have a beautiful new inflatable mattress.

Thank you, BABE! *hugs*

I would love to see you again, but Ffm is nearly impossible at the moment. I lack two things for that - money and time. Very unfortunately. So either we have to wait until I finally find work again or you have to come to us :)

(and I will answer all your comments, just not anymore tonight, because I really doubt that I will still make much sense)

Wellllllll....

Certainly wouldn't mind visiting. But I also wouldn't mind buying you a train ticket, I think. The cost would be just about the same anyway, and the purpose (meeting you) would be achieved either way. And you'd get a mini-holiday out of it - Frankfurt can be quite nice, it's much better than its reputation - and I'd get a chance to repay you for your repeated hospitality.

Time's a problem for both of us at the moment, I think. However, my time problem will get a lot worse, come February, as I'll be writing my thesis by then. So if we want to meet up, we should definitely do so before that begins, 'cause I'll be working on my thesis for a minimum of six months (maximum of eight, but hopefully it won't come to that, because time will be awfully short to prepare for the exams that follow the thesis writing period) and I'm pretty sure taking even just a weekend off to travel will be impossible. I'm a MacSlow academic writer, I'll need every day of those six months. And every day of the exams preparation period (August through October/November), too, I'm afraid.

As my job requires me to work practically non-stop all through November this year, this leaves us with December and January as potential timeframe for a meeting. Still, that's two months - should be possible to find some 'free time overlap' there. Even if it's just a weekend or something.

The next chance for me to do anything like a weekend trip, or have guests, *after* December/January would be in December 2008. I'd say December 2007 is preferable to that... ;-)

Maybe we should talk about this on the phone - would be easier to coordinate stuff. If you e-mail me your phone number I can call you... (E-mail's the same it's always been, hmpf1998@gmx.net.)
