When I said romance in my post I didn't just mean het romance, though. Slash romance is just as big of a turn-off for me. The fic that prompted my post was something involving Joe/Methos. I love Joe and Methos, they have a wonderful dynamic, and the fic actually portrayed that mostly quite well, but... eh.
