OMG

814 fics featuring Methos at AO3. And from what I can see at first glance, a *lot* of them actually look really interesting. There's new fic by Amand-r, even.

OMG WANT.

Duuude, I'm *so* overdue a dive into fic reading.

Stupid RL, always interfering... (I suppose I could replace my fic writing time with fic reading time, but somehow I can't bear *that* thought, not with Back to the Future so close to finishing, and other fics percolating in my brain. Arrrgh.)

IIRC, the ones from Amand-r are a few months old at least; they're just new to AO3.

Anything beyond 2005 is new to me.

That's what I mean when I say I'm overdue some fic reading... ;-)

Check the pairings tags too. Not everyone lists the characters. (trying to remember if I did, for my creaky old stuff)

Well, I was looking mostly for gen,

which tends not to be listed under pairings - although, as for everything, there are exceptions. :-)

Highlander is probably the fandom, out of all my fandoms, where I go for shippiness (of any sort) the least. Not that I'm particularly fond of that kind of thing in any of my fandoms (except, oddly, Harry Potter, but I barely count that as one of my fandoms - that was just one three-month fic reading spree in 2003 *g*). But Highlander definitely least of all.

When I do get around to my next big fic trawl, I will of course check the fandom categories themselves, rather than just search by tag. That's still the best way to find *everything* that might appeal to me, and AO3 isn't too big yet to make it utterly impossible. :-)

(I want to start that big trawl NOW, so badly... Can't, though. *sad*)

actually great news. someone (ages and ages ago) told me that Amand-r passed away. now I have to go pounce her and give her huggles

What a horrible rumour!

Her husband died a few years ago, though. I suppose that may have been the seed of that rumour - somebody getting their facts mixed up there.

don't know, it was very specific. I asked him if he heard anything about anyone and he said that she was so distraught over her husband's death that... yeah it was crap
