(Staying at home tonight, not at my parents', because if I stayed at my parents' tonight I'd have to get up practically in the middle of the night because someone needs to get into the guest room there tomorrow very early in the morning. *g*)
I think I should clarify that I don't exactly like the last line as it is; but I like the idea of them being a lost generation, and hopefully the last such lost generation (in Sam and Gene's immediate cultural context. Obviously, generation after generation of gay people continue to have to live 'undercover' in other areas of the world.) I like that idea and that phrase because it's quite true, really, at least for someone like Gene. There's real tragedy there, and I think Sam feels that tragedy keenly - not so much in relation to himself, perhaps, but certainly in relation to Gene.
As for wanting to inspire you to write more Undercover: well, that goes without saying. - Wait; you mean if I write enough stuff like this, it will increase chances of that happening? *hands poised over keyboard*
Okay, I'm at home now.
