Wives

... is done. Started 26.1.2006, finished 12.2.2007 - just over a year. That's pretty good for me, but it's only 1358 words, of course.

Will sleep over it a night or two and then send it off to [livejournal.com profile] beccatoria and later to [livejournal.com profile] amonitrate.

just over a year

Simply use "wives/month". :)

And I'm looking forward to reading this! :)

5.7 wives per month.

70 main characters (the wives plus Alexa plus Methos himself) and 5000 years in less than 1400 words. I think this may well be some sort of record. *g*

Oh boy! Congratulations!

Wonderful! Looking forward to it. -g-

Sounds like an accomplishment to me. :)

Going all mathematical on these ladies now, are we? *g*
(ok, I'm watching wayyyy to much BBC series, I have to admit...)

Äh. Wie auch immer, mein Englisch wird nicht lockerer.

Gratuliere zum erfolgreichen Erlegen dieses Riesenkarnickels. *hugs*

I can't wait to read the story once it has been properly beta-read!

There is still an awful lot of fondness for the 'Really Old Guy' in my heart, and tagging my old LJ entries over the last couple of days has certainly sent me down nostalgia lane. I'm just in the right mood for a bit of Highlander fanfic*g*

Oh, and speaking of slightly newer shows, I've finally begun watching Life on Mars.

Thanks!

Hope you guys will like it... :-)

Hehe.

[identity profile] hmpf.livejournal.com 2007-02-13 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I feel like this fic has fans even before it's published.

Eher ein Scheinriesenkarnickel. ;-)

[identity profile] hmpf.livejournal.com 2007-02-13 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Aus der Entfernung wirkte es riesig, aber von nahem betrachtet ist es dann doch nur 1400 Wörter lang. ;-)

Thanks!

Love your icon, btw!

I think I used an idea of yours in it, but I can't remember which wife it was!

[identity profile] hmpf.livejournal.com 2007-02-13 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Still, you get a credit in the notes. *g*

Feels like it, too!

[identity profile] hmpf.livejournal.com 2007-02-13 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
*g*

Good!

[identity profile] hmpf.livejournal.com 2007-02-13 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
On both counts. :-)

Do you like it? Life on Mars, that is? I hope you're watching it in English - the version on German tv is both cut *and* lacking the wonderful Manchester accent.

Watching in English, thanks to sources I won't name, and totally loving it! Hopefully I'll manage to type up a longer entry about my first impressions sometime this week :-)

:D After hearing about it for so long, I am looking forward to being able to read it!

In sadder news, apparently on BBC Breakfast News the main character guy in Life on Mars was going to talk about how this new season will be the last.

But I left for work before he came on tv so I don't know what he actually said.

LoM

Yeah, it's been known for some time that this season will be the last. Shame, really, but then, I *can* sort of see their point. The premise might go stale pretty soon.

Heh I'm not!

I've only ever seen the Highlander films but I've been hearing about your 68 Wives fic for so long and the idea sounds really good that I want to read it :D
